FIFA 23 Saudi Pro League TOTS: Release Date & Predictions

FIFA 23 Saudi Pro League TOTS: Release Date & Predictions – Main Image

Cristiano Ronaldo has fired his way into the top scorers in the Saudi Pro League already, and he has only been there for a couple of months! With the end of the season approaching, Ronaldo will surely be in contention for a spot in the Saudi Pro League TOTS squad in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

One of several minor leagues set to feature in the Team of the Season promo in FUT 23, the Saudi Pro League is home to some high-profile stars. This means that some excellent new items may be released for a fraction of the price that they would be if they played in the Premier League!

A strong Brazilian contingent is expected in the Saudi release, and with Ronaldo leading the line, the Saudi Pro League could be the most exciting of the minor leagues in FIFA 23 this year.

Saudi Pro League TOTS Release Date

The FIFA 22 Saudi Pro League TOTS squad featured three Brazilians, and we could see something similar this year.

The addition of Cristiano Ronaldo already boosts the excitement for the release, but who will likely join the footballing superstar?

According to leaks, the Saudi Pro League TOTS will be the second minor league TOTS squad to be released in FUT 23, after the EFL TOTS.

The Saudi Pro League TOTS will reportedly be released on Sunday, 14 May at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm BST.

Want to know what’s coming up? Take a look at which TOTS league is next.

GK – Marcelo Grohe (OVR 88)

The first Brazilian on the list, Al-Ittihad goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe leads the Saudi Pro League in clean sheets by a mile! 15 clean sheets in just 23 matches so far is a phenomenal effort, and it is hardly a surprise to see his team at the top of the table.

Due to Ederson’s FUT Ballers items, Grohe is likely to be destined for the fodder pile in FUT 23, however, if you missed out on Ederson he could be a useful Brazilian link.

CB – Ahmed Hegazi (OVR 89)

Egyptian giant Ahmed Hegazi looks certain to receive another TOTS item after another solid year. Al-Ittihad boasts the best defensive record in the league having only conceded eight goals in 23 matches.

Hegazi has also scored four goals himself and provided an assist, putting him at the front of the queue for defenders in this season’s team.

CB – Marwane Saadane (OVR 88)

Al-Fateh centre-back Marwane Saadane can match Hegazi’s goal record this season with a current tally of four. His team may fall in the ‘best of the rest’ category in the Saudi Pro League, but Saadane has been a class above.

The Moroccan international has started in each of his side’s league matches this season and should be rewarded for his consistency.

LB – Ghislain Konan (OVR 88)

Former Stade Reims full-back Ghislain Konan has been one of Al-Nassr’s top performers this season. In a squad stacked full of stars, Konan has been reliable at the back and also chipped in with four assists.

A TOTS item for Konan will easily make him the best left-back option from the Saudi Pro League, and it should possess some blistering pace too!

CM – Ever Banega (OVR 93)

Argentine pass-master Ever Banega received a top-quality item in FUT 22, and we are hoping for more of the same this year. The Al-Shabab star is still churning out top performances in the heart of midfield, providing four assists and two goals.

The lowest base stat on Banega’s FIFA 22 TOTS item was 87, and something similar this year could be sensational!

CAM – Igor Coronado (OVR 92)

Al-Ittihad playmaker Igor Coronado has pulled the strings for the league leaders, providing nine assists and five goals. Playing mostly behind the striker, Coronado has also featured in a deeper midfield role and out wide.

FUT fans may already own a Coronado item as he was one of the players released in the Saudi Pro League Squad Foundations.

CAM – Anderson Talisca (OVR 93)

Anderson Talisca is almost guaranteed a spot in the Saudi Pro League TOTS after another terrific year at Al-Nassr. The Brazilian has bagged 16 goals in just 17 matches, with one assist to his name too.

The main man for so long, Talisca has had to share the limelight with Ronaldo since his arrival. Operating behind the striker and on the wing, Talisca’s numbers have remained consistent.

RW – Carlos Junior (OVR 90)

Yet another Brazilian! Carlos Junior’s goals have fuelled Al-Shabab’s title hopes, and they remain in contention late in the season. Junior has 12 goals and two assists so far this season despite missing six games.

A pacey 90 OVR item should be in store for the tricky winger, and hopefully an upgrade to his current 3* Weak Foot and Skill Move ratings.

LW – Romarinho (OVR 92)

It wouldn’t be a Saudi Team of the Season without Romarinho! The 32-year-old is something of a mainstay in the promo having joined Al-Ittihad in 2018, and he has nearly reached 100 goals for the club.

Quick and skillful, Romarinho could be selected in a number of positions, but we are hoping for a LW item as he has thrived in that spot for the league leaders.

ST – Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 98)

Despite playing just 10 matches for his new club, Cristiano Ronaldo has already notched 11 goals, putting him sixth in the goalscoring charts. With a handful of games left, don’t be surprised to see CR7 challenge Odion Ighalo for the Golden Boot.

A huge 98 OVR could be in store for Ronaldo as EA won’t miss an opportunity to sell packs. CR7 will be in Team of the Season, we are certain of it.

ST – Odion Ighalo (OVR 91)

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo looks set to make back-to-back appearances in the Saudi Pro League Team of the Season. The former Man Utd and Watford striker has more goal involvements than any other player in the league with 18.

Last season we saw Ighalo receive a 91 OVR, so we are expecting something very similar when the time comes in FIFA 23.
