Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Region Pokemon to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Complete “The Perfect Pickle Recipe” Request (Request 80) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Various people will also ask for help from the player in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 80, titled ‘The Perfect Pickle Recipe.’ This guide will teach you how to complete ‘The Perfect Pickle Recipe’ request.

The Perfect Pickle Recipe

To unlock this request, the player must first receive ‘The Slumbering Lord of the Tundra’ Mission

the twelfth mission in the game where the player must quell a frenzied Noble Hisuian Avalugg. Additionally, the player must complete the ‘Octillery’s Ink’ Request (request 53) from Radisa of Jubilife Village, where the player must complete Octillery’s Pokedex entry.

After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! To do that, head to the northeastern part of Jubilife Village beside the Clothier (near the Front Gate and the Photography Studio), and there you will find Radisa with her Geodude. Talk to Radisa, and she will say she has finally come up with the perfect pickle recipe, thanks to Geodude’s help. After the player confirms that they are curious about it, Radisa will tell the player that she will teach the player the recipe if the player helps her gather the ingredients. She will then say she needs two hunks of Crunchy Salt, two pods of Plump Beans, and two bunches of King’s Leaf. Then, the ‘The Perfect Pickle Recipe’ Request started after that!

To complete this request, the player must gather two Crunchy Salts, two Plump Beans, and two King’s Leaf and give them to Radisa. Now it is time to look for the ingredients for Radisa’s perfect pickle recipe!

Crunchy Salts are pink crystals that grow out of rocks and can be found on the ground or on the side of cliffs and mountains, which the player can only reach by riding the rideable Sneasler in the Coronet Highlands and the Alabaster Icelands. It is worth noting that there are at least two Crunchy Salts on the mountainside just northwest of the Mountain Camp at the Coronet Highlands. If you can find any more Crunchy Salts, you can reset the map by going to Jubilife Village and then back to where you obtained the Crunchy Salts earlier. There are also some Crunchy Salts that the player can find around the Bolderoll Ravine, which is also in the Coronet Highlands.

The player can also dig up Crunchy Salt from treasure buried on the ground by riding the rideable Ursaluna.

It is worth noting that the player can also obtain Crunchy Salts after catching or defeating certain Pokemon, specifically Bergmite, Hisuian Avalugg, Gible, Gligar, Swinub, and Piloswine.

Alternatively, it is possible to purchase Crunchy Salts for 200 Pokemon Dollars in the Craftworks (after it is added to his wares) by talking to Anvin.

Plump Beans can be found on the ground or by destroying piles of leaves in the following zones: Crimson Mirelands and Cobalt Coastlands (the piles of leaves can only be found in this area). To obtain Plump Beans from the piles of leaves, you would need the help of your Pokemon. Aim and throw one of your Pokemon to a pile of leaves, then your Pokemon will come out and strike the pile of leaves to harvest the Plump Bean. The selected Pokemon will also gain experience in helping out.

It is worth mentioning that the player can find a few Plump Beans in between Aipom Hill and Crossing Slope in the Cobalt Coastlands.

Plump Beans can also be obtained after catching or defeating Pokemon, specifically Chatot, Murkrow, Spheal, Sealeo, and Whiscash.

Alternatively,  it is possible to purchase Plump Beans for 200 Pokemon Dollars in the Craftworks (after it is added to his wares) by talking to Anvin.

King’s Leaf is a yellow herb that can be found planted on the ground in the mountains of the Obsidian Fieldlands, the Crimson Mirelands, the Cobalt Coastlands, and the Alabaster Icelands. The player can obtain King’s Leaves from piles of leaves in the Cobalt Coastlands. To obtain King’s Leaf from the piles of leaves, you would need the help of your Pokemon. Aim and throw one of your Pokemon to a pile of leaves, then your Pokemon will come out and strike the pile of leaves to harvest the items, and hopefully, one of them is a King’s Leaf. The selected Pokemon will also gain experience in helping out.

Many King’s Leaves can be found on the north, west, and southwest of the Crimson Mirelands and around the mountains in the western part of the Mountain Camp in the Coronet Highlands

It is worth noting that the player can also obtain King’s Leaves after catching or defeating certain Pokemon, specifically Cherrim, Hisuian Decidueye, Hisuian Lilligant, and Hisuian Samurott, Hisuian Typhlosion, Torterraa, and Wormadam.

Alternatively, the player can purchase King’s Leaves from the Gingko Guild Merchants for 1000 Pokemon Dollars.

It is worth mentioning, however, that the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary.

After gathering two Crunchy Salts, two Plump Beans, and two King’s Leaves, head back to Radisa and her Geodude, still in the northeastern part of Jubilife Village beside the Clothier, and talk to her. After confirming to make the perfect batch of pickles using the ingredients the player gathered, she will take the ingredients from the player and say that she already has the Sand Radishes that she needs to start the process.

The screen will then fade to black, and once it fades back, Radisa will say that the final step is to place Geodude on top of the pot. Then, the screen will suddenly turn white, and, to Radisa’s surprise, the Geodude has evolved into a Graveler while on top of the pot. Radisa will then wonder if what just happened is the “evolution” she has heard people talk about and what has happened to her pickles. The screen will then fade to black again, and once it fades back, Radisa will say that the pickles are twice as good as she expected, and she will call this perfect pickle dish the Twice-Spiced Radish.

She will then say that there are no limits to what a cook can accomplish with the help of Pokemon. Finally, Radisa will thank the player and reward the player with one Twice-Spiced Radish for the player’s efforts!

Now that you have completed ‘The Perfect Pickle Recipe’ request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
