The Palworld 1.0 update adds 72 new pals—most of which you can catch, while the remainder at least adds an updated entry to your Palpedia. That’s a big undertaking with the expanded Palpagos map and the new World Tree region to explore, and referencing the in-game map can be a real pain, but that’s where I come in to hopefully make the process a bit easier.
How to catch every new pal in Palworld 1.0
This list was made to highlight where you’re most likely to encounter the new 1.0 pals for the first time, but some spawn in more than one region. Pals that pop up in multiple locations will have a note indicating other places you can find them, but are only listed once to keep the process simple.
The level recommendations don’t account for bosses in the region, so keep that in mind before you go barreling into their arena. Some zones are harder or easier to catch new pals in depending on terrain obstacles and gear, so take them as loose guidelines—not hard and fast rules.
A few tips to start collecting all 72 new pals
Make sure to catch five of every pal for bonus XP and a Mimog Effigy.Use the Pal Tamer’s Glasses, Ring of Mercy, or a pal with Mercy Hit so wild pals don’t drop below 1 HP before you can catch them.Think you have enough Pal Spheres? Wrong. Catching multiple of each pal for bonuses or better passives meant I never had enough, so keep stocking up.

🟠 Pupperai
🟢 Clovee
🟡 Tanzee Ignis
🟣 Wispaw
🔴 Amione
🔵 Muffly
Recommended for Levels 1-30
You’ll start Palworld in the Plateau of Beginnings on Windswept Island—where gradually heading north nets you a few new 1.0 pals. You should encounter Pupperai and Clovee first, while Tanzee Ignis and Wispaw spawn closer to the Autumn Rocks.
My next catch was an Amione floating over the water, and finally one of the scads of Mufflies in the Moonless Shore.

🟡 Puffolt
🟠 Elgrove
🔵 Skutlass
Recommended for Levels 20-35
I caught the angry little lightning pup Puffolt in the Bamboo Groves first, and Elgrove is in the same area, so their spawns overlap in the map above. Then I wandered into the Twilight Dunes, and found Skutlass along the beaches while searching for Hardwood.
Just be careful here, I was a bit under leveled to be picking fights with the level 30+ pals in the desert, and I paid for it more than once.

Recommended for Levels 25-35
Leafan wasn’t hard to catch in the Verdant Brook, but you’ll have to craft cold-weather gear before going for Snugloo in the Frostbound Mountains. I found that the older pals lurking around here posed more of a challenge than either of the newcomers.

Misc new Pals in 1.0
Dupin 🔥
No. 176
Type: Fire
Skill: Trick-Loving Fluffle
Dupin is a weird little pal that spawns on every island, but they’re hard to find in every zone except for The World Tree.
Panthalus 💧
No. 203 (Boss)
Type: Water
Skill: Resonant Guardian
Panthalus is a tough pal to catch, but you’ll need to capture the flying while in order to enter The World Tree. The fight takes some prep work, so I suggest referencing our in-depth guide on how to get Panthalus.
Astralym (Boss)
No. 204
You’ll face Astralym as the last boss of The World Tree region, but there’s no way to catch it. Like the other pals with a human trainer, it’s off limits, and it doesn’t drop an egg to hatch at the end of the encounter. For now, you’ll have to settle for a vague entry in the Palpedia.
