How many suits can we expect for Peter and Miles in Spider-Man 2?
When it comes to superhero design, Spider-Man has got to be the most basic, what with him just being in a body suit, but this does allow the opportunity for all kinds of crazy designs to be applied to the overall look.
The first Spider-Man game from Insomniac had 47 looks for Peter Parker (including DLC and remastered skins), and Spider-Man: Miles Morales had given Miles a total of 19 skins. With Spider-Man 2, Insomniac was expected to up the ante and has delivered more than 64 costumes for Peter and Miles—74 if you consider the Deluxe Digital edition skins. Each suit has four color variations, resulting in more than 200 looks for Miles and Peter.
Take note: some costumes from the first game did make it over to Spider-Man 2. While a lot of the costumes harken to different source material from the comics, the game also has some original designs from guest artists as well as some original skins that have relevance to the game’s narrative.
Pre-Order Bonuses
Pre-ordering Spider-Man 2 will give you early access to unique skins for Miles and Peter in the form of the Arachknight Suit (Peter) and the Shadow-Spider Suit (Miles). Each suit comes with four color variations. It is available to unlock for Peter at Level 20 and Miles at Level 18.
Though the Spider-Men usually have skintight body suits, the special pre-order bonuses come with a good cape, evoking the mysterious assassin look made popular by the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Digital Deluxe Edition
Though the pre-order bonuses are early unlocks for skins that you can eventually earn in-game, the Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 2 does offer a set of 10 unique skins, with five for each Miles and Peter.

Spider-Man 2 Suits and Variations
In the first Spider-Man game, each special suit only came with one set of colors. Still, for the sequel, Insomniac has managed to make the most of some killer designs by providing at least four color variations for every original suit introduced in the game.
The only suits that have one color are the suits that come from films like Spider-Man: Homecoming or Across the Spider-Verse. While it is kind of a waste that the movie suits don’t have color variants, they do come with some other perks. The Spider-Verse suits change the frame rate of Miles so he can look more accurate in the animated film.
Now, that’s attention to detail.
How Spider-Man 2 Suits Are Unlocked
The Digital Deluxe edition suits have been covered, so when it comes to regular costumes in the game, there are essentially two ways of unlocking them. The most basic way to unlock a suit is simply by leveling up, and as Peter and Miles rise the ranks, so does their choice in Spider-wear.
Other suits, though, need players to go off and complete missions, which can come in different forms. Some missions require you to complete different side quests or hunt for specific easter eggs. Other missions are part of the main story, and the new suit has some narrative relevance.
All Peter Parker Suits in Spider-Man 2
For Spider-Man 2, Peter starts with an upgraded version of the first game’s suit. As for his alternate skins, the game has brought back some old favorites from the first Spider-Man. Additionally, there are upgrades for some classic suits (e.g., the Scarlet Spider outfit).
Though Peter has a wide array of suits from the comics and movies, his outfits are also worn by other Spider-Men in the comics, like Ben Reilly (who is a Peter Parker clone) and Miguel O’Hara, a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099.

Advanced Suit 2.0 (default starting suit) – An upgraded version of the first game’s suit, complete with the white accents and huge white Spider-logo on the chest.

Miles Morales may not have been around for as long as Peter, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a lot of great options when it comes to costuming. Though Peter’s outfits draw from classic appearances, you can argue that Miles’ costumes have a little more modern flair and bring out his sense of style.
Not to mention, Miles’ costumes also have references to other looks from Marvel, like his SHIELD suit, as well as his version of Miles 2099.

Looking Optimistic for the Future
Though there is already a boatload of suits that come with the standard version of the game, we should expect Insomniac to add some more cosmetics going down the line. There is room for more DLC, which could come with all kinds of new skins and appearances-much like the new content that came with the City that Never Sleeps expansion with the first Spider-Man game.
Who knows, maybe some fans will want playable civilian Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the game. With fans also expectant of the animated Beyond the Spider-Verse movie, it’s likely Insomniac could release a new skin that could help boost interest in the upcoming film.
For now, though, fans have an abundance of cosmetics for Spider-Man 2, which should keep them satiated for the foreseeable future.
