Unconfirmed showcases for 2026:
There are a couple showcases we’re expecting to return for summer 2026 but haven’t had a date or time confirmed yet:
State of Play: Sony tends to host a SoP in the first days of June or final week of May each year. It hasn’t been announced for this year just yet.Nintendo Direct: Nintendo doesn’t always conform to having a showcase in June. It didn’t in 2025, for instance, but did in both 2023 and 2024. We’ll have to wait and see.
Okay so who’s going to show GTA 6?

GTA 6 is launching this year so surely it has to show up during the summer showcases with a big gameplay reveal, right? You’d sure think so. But last year Rockstar posted the second trailer for GTA 6 in early May, preempting the showcase season entirely. It hasn’t done that this year (so far) but I’ve got the feeling that big ol’ R* may consider it beneath itself to show up to someone else’s showcase, SGF and Xbox included. I’m betting that Rockstar goes for a quick turnaround type deal, announcing a big GTA 6 gameplay reveal show within a week of it happening.
