How To Solve Coin Puzzle For Wood Side Apartments In Silent Hill 2 Remake

Here’s how to solve the Silent Hill 2 Remake Coin Puzzle in the Wood Side Apartments 1F and where to find the coins.

In Silent Hill 2 Remake, you’ll encounter the coin puzzle after exploring the first floor of the Wood Side Apartments. Located in a room behind the reception area with a save point, the coin puzzle comes with a poem that provides clues for solving it.

Solving the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake can be tricky and confusing, but our step-by-step guide will help you through each part of the process, helping you breeze through to completion.

Three Coin Locations

Notably, the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake has important missing pieces. To complete the puzzle, you’ll need to find three coins: a Man Coin, a Snake Coin, and a Woman Coin.

Man Coin Location

The Man Coin can be found in Room 206 of the Wood Side Apartments on the second floor. To access the room, you need to enter Room 208 and move the huge cabinet to reveal an open gap in the wall. This leads you to Room 206, which has a locked safe at the center of the room. You must find the code to open the safe and retrieve the Man Coin inside it.

Check our Room 206 guide for more details on the safe code puzzle, but for the short version, the code is Right 13, Left 7, Right 11.

Snake Coin Location

The Snake Coin is in the pool area. It can be accessed by climbing through the window just across the room where you met Eddie for the first time. The coin can be found inside a pram in the middle of the pool. Be cautious as the area has multiple enemies, which can easily be avoided.

Woman Coin Location

The Woman Coin is lodged in a garbage chute and won’t be able to be retrieved until you reach the laundry in Room 312. Once you’re in the laundry room, grab the Canned Juice on the table, then throw the Canned Juice down the chute to dislodge the Woman Coin.

How to Solve the Coin Puzzle

Keep in mind that the solutions to the coin puzzle vary depending on the difficulty level. This guide will provide all the coin puzzle solutions for every difficulty setting in Silent Hill 2.

Take note that each coin can be flipped:

Man Coin = Sword Coin

Woman Coin = Grave Coin

Snake Coin = Flower Coin

The coin puzzle features six slots: five slots at the bottom and one at the top of the tree. To solve the coin puzzle, you’ll need to place the coins into the correct slots based on the clues in the poem.
